The Power of the Book of Mormon: Study, Ponder, Apply MULTI-STAKE YOUTH CONFERENCE

Dear youth, parents, and leaders,

Our upcoming multi-stake Youth Conference will be uplifting, spiritually-strengthening, and fun. As the theme suggests, this will be a great opportunity for those who attend to better understand The Power of the Book of Mormon and how to Study, Ponder, and Apply it to their lives. Please read through the following information to help you prepare for Youth Conference— • Dates and times: Friday, June 1 through Sunday, June 3. (See attached schedule for details.) • Transportation: o Once at the conference everything is within walking distance. o Youth from Logandale and Panaca Stakes are required to ride with a leader—they cannot transport themselves to or from the conference. o Youth must remain at the conference unless they have a signed permission slip from parent/guardian to leave early. • Permission slips: o Each youth must turn in a permission form (signed by parent/guardian) to their ward leader. • Registration: Conference attendees should have filled out an online registration. If you plan to attend Youth Conference and have not completed the registration please contact your ward leader for more information. • Dress and appearance: Friday—nice, casual, modest clothing. (Something like what you would wear to school.) Saturday—conference t-shirt and modest shorts or pants. Modest bathing suit for the swim party. Comfortable shoes. Hats are appropriate only during service project and swim party. • Behavior and standards: For the Strength of Youth outlines the expectations for standards at the conference. • Cell phones and electronics: Are welcome if used appropriately for scriptures, note-taking, and pictures. Please turn to silent or airplane mode. • What to bring: o Bag with scriptures, pen, notebook/journal o Water bottle marked with your name—filled with water. o Modest bathing suit, sunscreen, towel o Fleece-1 ½ yards (if participating in the Blankets service project or volunteered to donate) o Scissors-marked with your name (if participating in Blankets or Cards service projects) o Hat or sun protection (if doing physical service, optional) • Food: All meals and snacks will be provided at the conference.
