Reid is a sophomore at Virgin Valley High School where he is a member of the football, basketball and track teams. He is the son of Andrew and Janell Jensen.
Reid said "My service project was to plan and build historical plagues for some of the original settlers, I had to find the correct lot and it's original owners and the dates of their birth and death, organize it onto a plaque and have them cut then wielded to a giant 4 inch pole and then cemented in place. I really enjoyed doing this service project and hope that future scouts may add onto it. I have received 35 merit badges in scouting and have many I enjoyed. Some are; Tracking, because i was able to become better at it which helps me with hunting big game. I also enjoyed Automotive Maintenance, I love working on cars and small engines getting dirty up to my elbows. I would have to say that Small Boat Sailing in Illinois was my overall favorite, I had to learn how to take care of the boat, set it up, put it away, repairs, and then go sail on the river for 3 hours a day. At the end of the week we had a regatta (race) and I ended up winning and they invited me back to race another one but I had to come back home."
Janell, his mom said "I'm proud of the young man that Reid is. He is a great example to his many nieces and nephews. He's always quick to help out around the house and help with any project we have going. He's learned a lot from the wonderful scout leaders we have in Bunkerville. Many thanks to the many hours that has been dedicated to these young men. It truly takes a village."
