Well this week was a little hectic however many miracles happened.
As many already know this last Monday I lost my wallet. It fell out of my pocket on my way to buy some things after district counsel on Monday night. I realized when I get home that it was gone and I got really nervous. When you lose things here you usually don't ́t get them back. However, a miracle happened. I prayed and asked my family to pray for me and while we were in the area on Tuesday I got a call saying that somebody turned in my wallet on the other side of the city. It was a miracle and a testimony to me that God does answer prayers. It was also a lesson that I need to be more cautious and aware of things. I am grateful for this learning experience and I am grateful for all those who prayed for a silly wallet however I know that God is aware of us. Even to somebody losing a wallet. Miracles happens.
As well there were some even mightier miracles that happened this week. My companion and I have been finding people these past few weeks and this week we were able to find some elect people. One person in particular is a woman who contacted us. She told us that she wants God in her life and to go to church again. We visited her last Sunday and gave her a pamphlet of the Plan of Salvation. She read it all and then on Monday her uncle passed away. We were able to visit her on Tuesday and teach her that lesson. It was amazing. After the opening prayer she stated that she read the pamphlet and loved it. She also told us, "It was also quoting a book that I once had.. I read it and it changed my life but I ended up losing it... it has something to do with a man named Smith or something like that." I then pulled out a Book of Mormon and she responded, "That's it!". Turns out she was taught by a few missionaries before and she said that after reading the Book of Mormon she got a really good job offer in Maputo and ended up moving away. However we were able to visit her and through the direction of the Lord we were able to find her. She now is preparing to be baptized and invited another family to church and they came on Sunday!
This week has been amazing and these are just a few of the miracles that happened however I know that God lives. I know that He loves us. I am so very grateful to be a part of this work and know that it is true with all of my heart. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and changes lives. It changed my life and it is the reason I am here in Mozambique today.
As well today is Hero ́s Day in Mozambique. I want to give a shout out to my heros; my parents and grandparents, my siblings, and the rest of my family, all of you how support me so much! As well, I thank the Lord my Hero who supports me and guides me in all and is the Good Shepherd of our souls. Thank you! Love you all! Estamos juntos! Até próximo!
